Review of The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (1975) by Corey N — 05 Oct 2009

This is a funny spoof on all the Sherlock Holmes movies and novels. The film has a great cast with Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Leo McKern, Marty Feldman. Roy Kinnear and Dom DeLuise. The story is about Shelock Holmes younger brother who tries to be a better detective than Sherlock.

Gene Wilder is funny as the brother to Holmes and Marty Feldman is great as his sidekick. The film is full of funny characters, funny lines and musical numbers. While the film does bring many laughs I found it not to be as funny as some of Gene Wilder's other work.

Still worth a watch for those who like other Gene Wilder films or Mel Brook films.
