Review of The Abyss (1989) by Scott K — 17 Dec 2009
Decent Sci Fi drama. Really could have been shortened and better thought out. Subtlety is not one of James Camerons specialties. But yet again he proves that no one is better than him at action and spectacle.
The ending, either one, just doesn't work for me. Probably my least favorite James Cameron effort. Plus I heard he was an absolute asshole on the set of this and even accomplished the once impossible thought of causing Ed Harris to cry (!?!) with his tirades.
