Yes, I watched the extended edition, unknowingly. It was far too long. At the same time, I think the fact that this film was supremely dull and the characters didn't interact well and the story was faulty and blah blah blah it sucked.
There's nothing exciting here with the exception of Ed Harris' final descent. All else was dull and uneventful. This movie made attempts left and right to cement character relationships, failing every time.
And as for the creatures, they're not worth the wait.
