A fantastic Sci-fi film that was somewhat of a benchmark for special effects. The movie really was ahead of its time with wild effects. The plot was pretty good, and there was a good mystery to the film. There are scenes in this film that you stick with for life, especially those that involve tight spaces and the unbelievable underwater scenes.
The cast works brilliantly together, and the emotion displayed on screen felt so genuine. They were startled with what was going on.
For the time top notch effects, and an overall science fiction classic.
