Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by James M — 24 Aug 2007
It's sad that many of Hitchcock's earlier British films of the 1930s have been forgotten because some of them, especially The 39 Steps, are even better than many of his American films. The 39 Steps is an espionage thriller that indeed should not be overlooked.
It is just as suspenseful as Hitchcock's later American espionage thriller North By Northwest.
