Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Jon D — 16 May 2010
A tense, fast paced adventure story filled with thrills, spills and Hitchcock's sardonic sense of humour! Robert Donat is the definitive Hitchcock hero being suave, sophisticated and completely innocent, whilst Madeleine Carroll smoulders as Pamela, the beautiful but feisty blonde handcuffed to the unlucky hero.
With plenty of pitch black humour, suspense and sexual chemistry, The 39 Steps is the definitive comedy thriller!
