Review of The 300 Spartans (1962) by Dominic W — 07 Apr 2011
Absolutely brilliant retelling of one of the most lopsided battles in ancient history, the Battle of Thermopylae. The cast really bring this ancient conflict to life and the ending is true to the reality as the Spartans fight to the last man before Xerxes gives up throwing men at them and switches to killing the most deadly Greek soldiers in history with weapons they call inferior and effeminate - arrows.
