Review of The 300 Spartans (1962) by Sam T — 18 Apr 2008
This is about as outdated as they come. Even by standards of the time, the battle scenes are mindnumbingly slow and unconvincing, and since most of the movie consists of dialogue or speeches, one would wish there were some enthusiasm and passion instead of bland stage acting.
Historically it's more accurate than '300', but since this is not a documentary, it alone does not help.
