Review of Terri (2011) by Samuel B — 06 Jul 2012
This movie doesn't sound that interesting but it is actually quite good and worthwhile. An awkward and overweight teenaged boy named Terri doesn't know where either of his parents are, acts as a caretaker for his disabled uncle and has to put up with the joys of not fitting into the impossible and realistic high school groups and mentality.
His vice principal takes Terri under his wing and fosters a lasting friendship, and does well to show how mentorship can really make a huge difference in the lives of young people struggling to find their way in the world.
