Review of Tenet (2020) by Jamesirish68 — 03 Sep 2020
Nolan is a fan of time manipulation . Memento to Inception to Interstellar to Tenet are all in the same vein. But not the same quality. Nolan is drifting down hill and into hubris. Tenet is decidedly average.
It gets marks for the Bondesque locations, the snazzy clothes, the top dollar cinematography and Robert Pattinson. Everything else is needlessly and heedlessly confusing. Pretentiously confusing. I'm not going to watch it a second time to try and decipher it.
It's not an interesting enough story for that. Plot holes and stupid actions and reactions by paper thin characters everywhere . The female and the baddie especially. The lead himself is sufficient but bland.
The high marks are a product of the covid famine. In reality this is disappointing.
