Thoroughly superior to the original movie, Out of the Shadows embraces its source material to a far greater extent - and effect. It would be surprising if anyone watching this movie weren't either a) a small child or b) an aged fan of the 90's cartoon.
So the inclusion of colorful, albeit annoying characters like Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang makes it significantly more fun to watch. I found myself genuinely engaged with the story throughout, despite significant idiocy from characters like.
...UGH...Baxter Stockman.
