Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Snodog — 17 Dec 2021
How anyone can rate this one above the first is beyond me. This mess of illogical idiocy with the stupidest science mumbo jumbo and cliche garbage is awful. Was it more faithful to the cartoon? Maybe, but its mindless garbage.
At least the first was coherent and anyone with a brain larger than the size of a pea could engage with it. Past the stupid one liners and over used jokes and action, it makes absolutely no sense. Stuff happens because stuff happens.
Over used plot points and nonsensical character motivations. People kept saying this one was better than the first and its garbage in its purest form. The first was far more comprehensive and cohesive with a plot that made sense, characters with proper motivations beyond “I’m good” and “I’m evil”.
If you enjoy this movie more than you do the first iteration, congratulations, you are what’s wrong with not only the movie industry but the world in general.
