Review of Taxidermia (2006) by Lise H — 15 Jun 2007
A Hungarian comedy with VERY dark humour. The story is about three generations with a grandfather, a father and a son. The first one is obsessed with sex, the second obsessed with food, and the last one obsessed with taxidermy and the undeadly.
A sick, weird, and a little perverse film that's also hilarious at times...that is if you got the right sense of humour. My thoughts went back to the first films from Peter Jackson...if you like those, then "Taxidermia" should be interesting.
I recommend it, if you want something 'different'. It's guaranteed to be one of the most twisted films you'll ever see, and I personally feel that I have to watch it one more time, to decide wether it is just a stupid mess, or if it MIGHT be the ingenious masterpiece that many have called it.
I mean, I can sense a message in this whole thing.
