Review of Taxidermia (2006) by Alexis M — 16 Sep 2010
In a class with the best of disgusting surrealism (Svankmeyer, Bunuel, and Tom Green jump to mind), Taxidermia is a tightly composed exploration of a Hungarian family as they revel in the most visceral of bodily experiences (beastiality, vomiting, and a lot of internal organs are on display here).
This sort of shock-art has been around for ages, but it's nice to see someone doing it well again.
