Woof. What a brutal watch. I was, of course, completely taken by the trailer which hinted at all the things I love about jeunet + caro and gilliam and the likes. But this movie was gross, and apparently pointless, which was the biggest let down.
I agree with all that the scene which should have lasted much longer around a two-dimensional book world was beautiful, but for what point? ...
Frustrating.
