Review of Taxi Driver (1954) by Juan S — 19 Mar 2014
Amazing. A portrait of urban loneliness and paranoia that resonates, even after New York has largely moved beyond the crime-ridden, grimy, licentious cesspool it depicts. It forces you to confront why we we so often sympathize with vigilantes.
Calling it a masterpiece is not an exaggeration.
