Review of Tarzan the Ape Man (1981) by Ida K — 10 Jul 2007
This film is only notable for its camp value - and there's ALOT of it. The whole time I felt like John Derek was pulling my chain. How could ANYBODY take this film seriously when Bo Derek is playing a turn-of-the-century woman who apparently has never been raised in any kind of a society that requires her to be a 'lady'.
Bo gets wet alot in this movie and all she wears is a dress that's see-through. You just can't buy a second of it. Plus her acting is bad, Miles O'Keefe is awfully bland (but has a sexy body)and the undercurrent of beastiality at the end credits is in real poor taste.
My favorite part is the opening credits when the MGM logo appears; has to be seen to be believed.
