Review of Tarzan and His Mate (1934) by Bryan C — 11 Dec 2008
Matches its predecessor by seamlessly continuing the story, increasing the scale, tossing in a lot more violence and nudity, and having Maureen O'Sullivan wear as little clothing as possible. Wow! Tarzan would never be the same after the Hays code.
The only film directed by the great art director Cedric Gibbons. Script by James Kevin McGuinness.
