An improvement over her last few movies anyway. McCarthy is at her best when she tones down her abrasiveness. And Tammy, thankfully does just that. I thought she was insufferable in The Heat, and I still think she depends too much on cruelty and cheesiness in her comedy.
Perhaps this is just a sign of the times, McCarthy like Kevin Hart can be "outrageous" in their comedy, too often they're just not that funny.
