Review of Tammy (2014) by Guilherme N — 31 May 2016
Enjoy the special sauce!
Tammy is going through a dramatic change of life when she is fired from her job and catches her husband cheating on the same day. She decides to go on a road trip with her grandmother to Niagara Falls. They partake in a unique series of events and the grandmother's diabetes flares up. Can the irresponsible grandmother and granddaughter work together?
"Let's light this candle.".
Ben Falcone, director of the upcoming The Boss, delivers Tammy in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is clumsy and very unrealistic. The writing and comedic content was inconsistent and the acting was just okay. The cast includes Melissa McCarthy, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates, Dan Aykroyd, Allison Janney, and Sandra Oh.
"You scratched my tongue.".
I came across this not too long ago on HBOGO and decided to give it a viewing one random night. This was dreadful and very corny at times. There were a few chuckles here and there, but not enough so I could recommend this film. I'd skip this picture.
"One little beer can't hurt.".
Grade: F.
