Review of Talk to Me (1996) by Andrew H — 17 Dec 2008
Cheadle and Ejiofor deliver solid performances that make this film worth the watch alone. I really enjoyed it, and found it very interesting. It's a small film about a big idea, and a big time. It really takes this era and defines it in a brighter light through a dark man.
He is an alcoholic, and a convict. I bought all the characters except the small part by Cedric the Entertainer, he was a bit part that was a bit over the top, but it wasn't detrimental to the film.
A very good story, mixed with great acting by the two leads, and a great scope made this movie an enjoyable view. Big props to the filmmakers.
