Wow the mainstream criticism for this film is SO negative! I mean it's not life changing or anything but it's damn entertaining and at least makes a nod at, however ham-fistedly at being good to each other and not hating each other for the way we look. I know it's fashionable right now to flirt with fascism but I still find this criticism uncomfortable. Maybe the film only takes a fisher price approach to race politics but I guarantee that if it went any deeper it'd come under criticism for being 'too preachy' so how do you win?
Well it appears this movie can't win but if you're after an entertaining buddy cop movie with fantasy elements that you don't have to think much about then this is worth a watch.
