Review of Tales from the Crypt (1972) by Brian F — 01 Apr 2007
Excellent, eerie, atmospheric Amicus horror anthology. "Poetic Justice," featuring Cushing as a nice old man who comes back from the grave to deal out revenge to the neighbor who destoryed his life, is great, as is "Blind Alley," with the crazy Patrick Magee as the leader of a group of neglected blind men who take their horrific revenge on their cruel housemaster.
The other three stories are pretty good, as well. All in all, an excellent example of what Amicus did best (and what made them unique when compared to their contemporary, Hammer.).
