Review of Tales from the Crypt (1972) by Colin F — 03 Jul 2010
Another classic 70s anthology horror film, one of the best ones Amicus made. Packed with 5 horror tales, one where Joan Collins gets done over by Santa Claus, Another where a cheating husband comes back as a burnt zombie! Another where a neighbourhood dispute with Peter Cushing turns very nasty! Another where a couple get three wishes and wish for loads of money only for the husband to be chased by a Skeleton on a Motorcycle, Yes thatâ??s right a Skeleton on a motorcycle so he crashes and the wish has come true because there is loads of money off the insurance (Who thinks of these) The final story is sadly the poorest, where a major goes to run a blind nursing home only for the residents turn against him and ends up getting eaten by his dog!
They just do not make films like this anymore, even Joan Collins puts in a great performance, good film just let down by one far fetched dodgy story.
