I was a bit hesitant before watching this film. I had heard it was alright, but that Michelle Williams was excellent as usual. The last time I watched a movie for the same reasons, I was completely disappointed, and that was in the case of My Week With Marilyn.

This film is completely different, this is hands down, a great movie. It's charming, funny, and yes sad. Michelle Williams is of course, spectacular in the role of Margot, a dissatisfied twentysomething freelance writer.

The rest of the cast is spectacular too; solid performances from Luke Kirby and Seth Rogen, but it's Sarah Silverman who steals the show as Margot's sister-in-law. Filled with a subtle score with a good soundtrack, beautiful art direction, and some awe-inspiring shots, Take This Waltz is a great follow up film to Sarah Polley's 'Away From Her', establishing her as one of the most exciting emerging female directors.
