Review of Take the Money and Run (1969) by Tyler S — 19 Jul 2008
Slapstick comedy from the by-gone years permeate this Allen flick. Shot in a documentary style, it follows the hapless attempts by Woody Allen's character to commit crimes. Funny at moments, but there is an odd sense of disconnect - everything seems to happen without consequence.
Funny things happen, but you're just not sure why you want to laugh.
