There aren't a lot of laugh out loud moments in this movie but it still has a lot of funny moments. There is a fair amount of physical comedy and it is done much, much better than anything since A Fish Called Wanda.
Annabelle Wallis is good as a Wall Street Journal reporter who struggles to accept the reality of the game. Isla Fisher is a bit too over the top at times but has it dialed back in a brief but important scene about halfway through.
The twist at the end was well done and provides a definitive answer to a question posed earlier in the movie by the reporter.
