Review of Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004) by Ben H — 28 Jul 2008
Tae Guk Gi is a very well made war film out of Korea from a perspective seldom seen in war films to date. The story of two brothers fighting in a war together is also something unique to the war film genre, but it at times comes off a little cheesy.
The battle scenes are very well developed, especially for a foreign film, though it is apparant that they were filmed more for action purposes rather than authenticity. However that's simply nitpicking, Tae Guk Gi is a solid film that won't disapoint fans of the gnere.
