T2 Trainspotting is a great film and a great example of how to bring back memorable characters with enough nostalgia and new themes that reflects modern trends. To truly appreciate Danny Boyle's achievement newcomers to Trainspotting should definitely watch the first film.
T2 is simply modern poetry.
