Review of T2 Trainspotting (2017) by Hacho F — 25 Mar 2017
Perhaps because I have the fortune to experience the 1st Trainspotting in the cinema 20 years ago. This was exact5 the sequel I wanted. Not convoluted, lots of style, throwbacks and a simple plot. I like that they didnt try to change the characters, they are all still shades of grey.
Begbie is still as terrifying as before, Sickboy morally devoid and Renton likeable largely due to Ewans performance. Spud is the true star of the Movie, which was a brave and triumphent move, considering the cast.
Loved it (Through rose tinted glasses bit still).
