Hard to put this one into words. A true contender for the title: The Great American Film, this movie makes some of the most profound and comprehensive statements on some of the most stubborn preoccupations of art, particularly as it concerns American men.
Its profusion of profundity dwarfs almost every other film exploring the same topics.
