Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Natalie M — 22 Apr 2011
Packed with symbolisms that expose the most delicate of human desires, hopes, fears and insecurities. Director Charlie Kaufman takes us on a journey through the life of Philip Seymour Hoffman's character in a way that hardly explains the details or reasons behind his life's events (trying to connect and make sense of the plot is an almost hopeless task because it is so confusing), yet manages to make me empathize with his deepest and most personal agony: his chaotic and tired search for meaning in his life.
