Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Jake B — 13 Jun 2011
Difficult to explain and impossible to forget, this film is quite a challenge but it still manages to be moving . Its themes are universal and its methods are astonishing in their intricate nature. Kaufman may not stack up to Kubrick on his first time out as director, but the promise and imagination displayed in this directorial effort are signals of wonderful things to come.
