Review of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) by Koh C — 12 Jun 2008
I personally think this film is as good as oldboy, if not more so. One connects immediately to Ryu's plight, and that of his suffering sister. There were many twists and ironies that intensified the suspense, and in the end audience are left so touched and disturbed by the masterful mix of gruesome violence and gore that they are left empty in the stomach.
Ouch.
