Review of Swordfish (2001) by Aaron B — 19 Jun 2009
I enjoyed this movie a lot actually. Has some really good action scenes and the reference to Sugarland Express was cool. The whole movie is fast and never really slows down. John Travolta was cool in this film and the explosion at the beginning was well done.
The film's storyline I do not think would have been accepted nowadays as to the idea of someone avenging terrorism. I feel that this film's story might be looked at a different way if you are an American living after the tragedy of 9/11.
There is also an ending that I enjoyed because John Travollta's character is really likable and I was surprised at how the movie ended on such a happy note for both parties. Overall an enjoyable action movie with a good ending.
