Review of Swiss Army Man (2016) by Bill D — 13 Jul 2016
Who knew that a movie about a farting corpse could be as affecting as this movie is. This is a visually stunning movie in parts with a very interesting soundtrack. Part fantasy/part adventure. To call this a buddy movie is to sell it short.
It is about a cast away, played by Paul Dano who becomes friends with a farting corpse, played by Daniel Radcliffe, that washes up on the beach. As the movie progresses they develop a deep friendship.
This is a moving examination of human vulnerability and what emotional walls we build around ourselves to protect us from being hurt. Yes I did cry in parts.
