Tense movie with clearly unsympathetic protagonists and great actors. The motives and behaviours are so evil, Film noir at its best. Especially Lancaster is so dark, he steals the attention of the viewer and you ask yourself, what he will do next.
It is interesting, that mass media was in critic that time also. Fortunately it lost their power thanks to internet, but the elite will gain in back surely.
