Suspiria is Dario Argento's masterpiece of horror and fantasy, and a prime example of great filmmaking.

Suspiria is the first movie of Argento's "Three Mother's Trilogy". Suzy has enroled in a famous German dance academy. But ever since her arrival, strange and horrifying deaths have occured, and one student believes it to be caused by witchcraft. Suspiria could have been a chilling fairytale. Suzy's time at the academy and her experiances are very mysterious and dreamlike, filled with exagerated and suspence and one of the best death scenes ever in movie history.

This movie is why I love Dario Argento so much. Like I said, this movie is very dreamlike, but that's an understatement. Not only is his directing craft masterful, but he exagerates the use of lighting, having 3 different coloured lights in the same shot. This pulls the story from the real world to one of fantastic horror. The beauty of the sets and filming locations are breathtaking, and the music score provided by Goblin really brings out the fantasy and suspence to it's fullest. It's one you have to see to understand.

Suspiria is a one of a kind horror movie. There connot possibly be any imitators to compare the amount of creativity and style of Suspiria. This movie isn't just a horror movie, it's a fantasty that draws you into another world. Dario Argento brings this effect into this movie, and I salute him for it.
