Review of Suspiria (1977) by Robert H — 04 Aug 2009

This was one of the biggest disappointments I have ever had watching a horror movie. After the initial murder (which was actually filmed beautifully), the film starts on a downward spiral that it never quite recovers from.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out the plot, other than it was a whole lot of running around dark hallways accomplishing nothing. As much as I love Argento, I have no idea what people see in this film.

I'd recommend avoiding this one altogether unless you are suffering from a serious bout of insomnia. I gave it one star for the fact that as bad as it is, it still could have been worse: it could have been directed by Rob Zombie.
