Review of Suspicion (1941) by Elliott F — 22 Nov 2010
Alfred Hitchcock brings two stunning performances from Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine (1941's Best Actress winner) in this formidable thriller. Fontaine plays a shy woman who is swept off her feet by a charming, penniless playboy and suspects him of murdering her.
That's essentially the whole story, but Hitchcock employs several masterful elements in this minor gem.
