Review of Suspicion (1941) by Dustin G — 19 Jun 2011
Not as great as it should have been. What keeps this from greatness is the ho-hum finale. The resolution just got a "Is that it?" from me. The tension is on and off, but the actors are superb.
Grant and Fontaine hold the screen together well and make the romance believable. Hitchcock has made better films, but it's a mildly entertaining way to kill 100 minutes.
