Review of Surveillance (2008) by Deborah E — 18 Aug 2009
Yeash!!!!!! This film scared the hell outta me. Easily the most disturbing/intriguing films Iâ??ve seen so far this year. The film is at first a mystery. Three cars on the road witness a horror. FBI Agents Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond are called onto the scene to gather information and that info is leaked to the viewer dripâ?¦dripâ?¦dripâ?¦ Bill Pullman is amazing.
I love his tilted head. His reserved responses. And that ? thatâ??s coming to a boil. Kent Harper and French Stewart are vulgar genius as the two worst cops on the planet-suck it Super Troopers! And you also got the great Michael Ironside playing boss for a good chunk of the flick.
But, this film is tough. Itâ??s not for everyone. Itâ??s a slow burning horror mystery and it goes to and stays in a very dark place. Keep â??em coming Jennifer Lynch. Not VF.
