Review of Surveillance (2008) by Brian O — 04 Jun 2011
A dark and twisted thriller (although the twist is visible from a mile away) which in traditional Lynch way is more memorable for its voyeuristic approach to sadistical violence than its story or skills of the actors.
In a way, I liked it more than it deserved, mostly because of utter lack of even semi-decent psychological thrillers in today's Hollywood production output. However, when compared to the classics in the genre, "Surveillance" is really nothing worth writing home about.
