Review of Surveillance (2008) by Bill B — 21 Sep 2009
I have to admit to being really fished in with this one, as I expected to like it, but the sheer amount of quirky characters collectively managed to put me off so much that I had eventually had NO idea what was going to happen next.
This film really kept me guessing until the final reel, and I was rather impressed by that, particularly as a jaded movie goer who has seen a good number of films with a twist ending.
This one succeeds by giving virtually every single character some sort of odd mannerism or twitch, putting the viewer on edge to the point that it's hard to decide who you should trust.
Recommended.
