Produced by David Lynch, and directed by his daughter Jennifer Lynch, this graphic serial killer movie, part thriller and part horror film, is very very entertaining, and has some very interesting twists.

Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond portray two FBI agents that come to a small town to help investigate some grisly murders. The local cops seem pretty inept of investigating anything, so the FBI agents take over.

The problem, there are three survivors including a little girl, of the last murders, and they all have different stories about what happened. This is like a Twin Peaks take on Rashomon, with absolutely nothing as it really appears to be.

As the different stories are told, it's obvious by the flashbacks, pretty much everybody is lying, except maybe the little girl. This movie has some very bloody graphic scenes, and at least one outstanding gore effect.

But the one that got me, is the last kill, in which one of the female survivors dies I guess you would call an extremely sick, and disturbing erotic death. Jennifer says on the commentary, that her Father David Lynch, told her she was the sickest person he knows.

This is a very very nasty death. With all that, I really enjoyed this movie, it twists and turns, and then explodes into an orgy of violence. Very highly recommended.
