Review of West of Memphis (2012) by Rodney S — 31 Jan 2013
After dedicating over 9 hours to all the documentaries on the WM3 case which includes the Paradise Lost trilogy and now this fourth effort from Director Amy Berg and Producers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, it's hard to not feel emotionally invested in the complete miscarriage of justice that these films portray.
Withouht re-hashing the details of this extraordinary case, I can whole-heartedly report that 'West of Memphis' is one of the finest and most compelling examples of documentary that the genre has to offer (2011's ''Paradise Lost: Purgatory'' is equally significant), and should be seen without hesitation.
Whilst I would urge you to watch all four films in order, if you can't invest in 9+ hours to see everything this film will cover all bases.
