Saw this movie last night - it's HILARIOUS! James Garner is perfect. Jack Elam was great as his sidekick. Bruce Dern was excellent as the daft tough guy, as was Walter Brennan. The only thing that annoyed me was it took me so long to try and pick where I'd seen the mayor (Harry Morgan) before - M.
A.S.H. Very easy to see what inspired Blazing Saddles.
