Review of Supernova (2021) by Jluis_001 — 19 Feb 2021
An elegant and sober drama about illness, relationship, love, acceptance, letting go, and saying goodbye.
Perhaps it doesn't expose so much, nor does it propose much in terms of everything that a drama of this kind entails, but it's also appreciated that it's not a merciless whirlwind of tears and pain.
I mean, the situation the protagonists face is really painful, but that doesn't imply that the same situation should become a miserable affair, like many other films tend to do in order to emotionally manipulate their viewers.
Very good performances by its two leads, although I think they will be left out of any mention in the next awards season.
