The Beanie Babies were a sensation at the time, like many other things, but throughout this entire film, there is nothing to provide a compelling reason for the existence of this narrative.
There are so many things that don't need to be dramatized in film, you know? It's a squandering of talent focused on breathing life into an insignificant story.
Other than that, I must confess; I was taken aback when I realized that the male lead is Zach Galifianakis, who, to me, is completely unrecognizable without his distinctive beard.
