Review of Superman: Doomsday (2007) by Paul C — 25 Nov 2009
Ok let me tell you why I rated this three stars. The voice acting was pretty good. The animation was decent. Then the overall appeal was good. It was a decent film altogether. Now let me tell you why the other two stars are missing.
Talk about taking a great comic book story and bastardizing it. There is about 15 minutes of the movie that actually followed the true story. The rest of it was takin from an idea that happened later in the comics.
One thing I could not stand was the Doomsday and Superman fight. The animation was pretty good, but the way it happened wasn't. This was suppose to be one of the most gruesome fights ever by Superman.
In the movie he only really bled at the end. I guess they really just wanted to make it more child friendly, which is too bad. I was really excited for this movie and when I finally saw it (and it took them forever to make this film) I enjoyed it like any other regular, want to see only once, movie.
